IMPD officers responded to a crash around 7 p.m. Dec. 10 on the Sam Jones Expressway, near I-465, that involved a sedan and a shuttle van. IMPD said the driver of the sedan, only identified at this time as an adult male, was transported to a nearby hospital, where he later died. A dog also riding in the sedan died, according to IMPD.
