IMPD says it is investigating a man's death on the near northwest side of Indianapolis on Saturday as a homicide.
According to a release from IMPD, shortly after 3 p.m. on July 5, officers were called to the 1300 block of Fall Creek Parkway East Drive, near Ensign Graham Edward Martin Park, on a report of a person shot.
When officers arrived, they found an adult male with a gunshot wound. He was pronounced dead at the scene by Indianapolis EMS.
Initially, police believed the wound to have been self-inflicted. However, roughly 24 hours later on July 6, IMPD announced the man's death was now being investigated as a homicide.
