Description
A 16-year-old was killed and three other teens were injured after a shooting in downtown Fort Wayne early Saturday morning.
According to a release from the Fort Wayne Police Department, just after midnight on July 5, officers were called to the intersection of Harrison and Pearl streets for what police say was a "problem unknown."
However, when officers arrived on scene, they found three people who had been shot. Officers performed life-saving measures on one of the victims until medics arrived. Police say two victims were transported to a local hospital in stable condition. A third victim, a 16-year-old male, was said to have "life-threatening" injuries and later died at the hospital.
A fourth gunshot victim later arrived at a local hospital with "non-life-threatening" injuries.
