Description
Cleanup continues as thousands of people are still without power in central Indiana following Wednesday's powerful storms.
In a statement, AES says they are fully staffed, with crews working around the clock to restore power.
As of Thursday afternoon, AES says electricity has been restored to more than 70% of customers in less than 24 hours.
Patience is a virtue in this situation, as AES says they anticipate this to be a multi-day restoration effort as they work around downed power lines, broken electricity poles and several broken — and sometimes, uprooted trees.
According to AES, reinforcements from Michigan, Pennsylvania and North Carolina have arrived, with crews assisting in restoration.
