Description
A Plainfield man who went to prison as a teenager for a drunk driving crash that killed a bicyclist is now charged in two new cases of driving while intoxicated in central Indiana. These two incidents happened within the past seven weeks.
On June 16, a Henry County sheriff’s deputy pulled Timothy Hughes over about 6:30 a.m. for allegedly driving erratically on State Road 3 after exiting Interstate 70. Court records say Hughes’ breathalyzer test registered .288 BAC, almost 3.5 times the legal limit.
Hughes was taken to a hospital for a blood draw. Court records say Hughes became belligerent, jerking away from deputies and yelling, “F*** you! F*** the police! F*** all y'all. I know I'm going back to prison.”
