Description
He’s become a local legend in Seminole, lounging in the waters behind a neighborhood bar and charming guests one glimpse at a time. But now, “Mr. Pickles,” a four-foot alligator with a cult following at Five Bucks Drinkery, might be in trouble.
It all started after a series of hurricanes blew through the area. In the aftermath, the gator found his way to a canal behind the bar and never left.
“Look at him! Hey Pickles, how you doing?” regular John Heintz said, lighting up at the sight of the now-famous reptile. “That’s our little friend over there, Pickles.”
Heintz isn’t alone. Patrons often stop by Five Bucks just to see if they can spot Mr. Pickles sunbathing or drifting through the water.
