IMPD is investigating after a bicyclist died following a hit-and-run crash on Indianapolis' near northwest side Wednesday morning. The crash was reported shortly before 6 a.m. Aug. 6 in the 1700 block of North Tibbs Avenue, just north of West 16th Street. Responding officers found a man in the road with trauma, who was taken to a local hospital in critical condition, a department spokesperson told 13News. In an update around 11:30 a.m., police said the victim later died from his injuries. The Marion County Coroner's Office will identify that man once family has been notified.
