A ground stop has been issued by the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) at Denver International Airport (DIA) Wednesday morning.
The stop was issued due to wind and is expected to be in place through 8:45 a.m. Wednesday, the FAA reported.
According to FlightAware.com, 62 flights at DIA were delayed as of 8:10 a.m. Wednesday.
"Due to weather/wind, there is a Traffic Management Program in effect for traffic arriving Denver International Airport, Denver," the FAA said. The ground stop began at 7:24 a.m. Wednesday.
9NEWS Weather Impact Team meteorologist Chris Bianchi said the airport reported a 33 mph wind gust Wednesday morning, but that conditions are expected to improve.
