Eight members of the Ramirez family were killed Monday when a tanker semi-truck rear-ended their Dodge minivan on I-85 in Jackson County.Family identified the victims as Maribel, Darwin, Kenia, Justin, Andy, Natali, Kaylee, and Evan Ramirez. One of them, 22-year-old Kenia Ramirez, was three months pregnant. The driver, Kane Hammock, now faces multiple homicide and distracted-driving charges.
