Description
Arizona Congresswoman-elect Adelita Grijalva and a group of House and Senate Democrats marched to Speaker Mike Johnson’s office, demanding that she be sworn into Congress.
Grijalva alleges the delay is intentional and politically motivated, accusing Johnson of blocking her from becoming the 218th signature needed to advance a House bill on the release of Jeffrey Epstein case files.
“If I were a Republican, I would have already been sworn in,” Grijalva said, joined by fellow Democrats who accused Johnson of “obstruction” and “protecting pedophiles.”
Johnson maintains that Grijalva will be sworn in once the full House returns to session.
Includes remarks from Grijalva, Rep. Adriano Espaillat, Sen. Ruben Gallego, and footage of Democrats marching to the Speaker’s office.
