As of the latest advisory from the National Hurricane Center, Imelda has strengthened to a Category 2 hurricane, while Humberto has lost all tropical characteristics and is now simply a remnant low.

As of the latest advisory, Hurricane Imelda is now a Category 2 hurricane located about 340 miles west-southwest of Bermuda, where a hurricane warning is in effect in anticipation of this storm. It has maximum sustained winds of 100 mph and is moving east-northeast at 20 mph, indicating that the storm continues to turn away from the east coast of the U.S.
High surf and rip current risk will continue for another 24 hours.
Hurricane Imelda is set to make a direct impact on Bermuda today.
