Crews across Tampa Bay are working to erase dozens of murals after the Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) ordered cities to remove street art from roadways.
On Tuesday, sand and water blasted away the Alan Wright mural in Tampa, which commemorated Wright’s advocacy for the Hillsborough River. Robert Steeg, who lives nearby, said the mural was one of the reasons he and his family moved to the neighborhood. https://www.wtsp.com/article/news/local/hillsboroughcounty/mural-removal-tampa-lgbtq-black-history/67-f4f7d3ae-50f3-4ff7-86aa-2bd38770fd5f
