A man has been taken into custody after opening fire from a boat at a waterfront restaurant Saturday night, killing three people and injuring at least five others, according to the North Carolina State Bureau of Investigation. Nigel Max Edge was identified as the shooter and is being held without bond. He is facing multiple charges, including three counts of first-degree murder, five counts of attempted first-degree murder and five counts of assault with a deadly weapon with intent to kill, inflicting serious injury, with additional charges pending, Southport Police said.
