The 2025 NFL season starts Thursday, Sept. 4, but Indianapolis Colts fans don't seem too optimistic about the team's chances. The Athletic, which is The New York Times' subscription-based sports journalism department, released the results for its second annual "Hope-O-Meter," which is a poll that measure how optimistic fans are about their team ahead of the season. According to the poll, just 6.8% of Colts fans are optimistic about the upcoming season — meaning more than 93% don't like the team's prospects.
