Description
We had our first round of birds from Canada flying south over the United States. In fact Indiana had over 10 million birds (estimated) fly over this weekend.
The estimates are from Birdcast, a joint program among Cornell, Colorado State, and University of Massachusetts. Radar data can help track the birds migrating south.
Indiana's birds aren't ready to leave just yet, but many birds in Canada are starting their journey.
Peak migration will not arrive until early October.
