Description
FIESTA Indianapolis, the popular annual event celebrating Hispanic culture, was canceled by organizers this week.
The event was held downtown for decades. But now, organizers said safety concerns are forcing them to celebrate in a different way.
FIESTA is organized by Latino nonprofit La Plaza. In a press release this week, they announced that the festival was canceled "after thoughtful consideration of several factors beyond our control and, most importantly, out of deep concern for the safety and well-being of the Hispanic community."
