Description
A new initiative wants to make it easier for families living on the west side of Indianapolis to access nutritious food. It's called Nutrition Secure Indy and aims to provide 250 families with food over the course of a year.
Each week, families from the Edison School of the Arts and the Mary Rigg Neighborhood Center can pick up an eight-pound protein box and a 12-pound produce box. It will be available at Mary Rigg, located at 1920 W. Morris St. The program also includes educational support options, such as access to financial planning, nutrition and cooking courses, and SNAP and WIC education and enrollment courses.
