Description
Right now, road safety remains an ongoing issue in Marion County — especially for pedestrians.
There have been over 400 road incidents involving pedestrians and bicyclists just this year alone in Indianapolis, according to Indy Pedestrian Safety Crisis.
A couple of the biggest concerns for Hoosiers are speed and congestion at intersections.
"The high speed is the biggest issue that we see out here and then the frustration builds as things start to get congested and then it gets worse," said Jeffrey Keys, who lives in the Chatham Arch neighborhood.
The Chatham Arch Neighborhood Association recently installed a tactical urban project at the intersection of East 10th Street and Park Avenue, bringing unwanted traffic for some neighbors like Keys.
