Description
A handmade quilt is a like a big hug. It’s a gift, straight from the heart of the person who made it.
A group of women in Evergreen have been making quilts for years to support strangers in need. But this time, their whole community was hurting after the school shooting in Evergreen.
Now their handmade “hugs” are making a difference for students and families.
“Quilts were taken to [Evergreen] High School when the students came back to pick up their belongings,” said Gail Young, director of “People Comforters” based in Evergreen. “They were able to pick up a quilt and take it home.”
