Description
A new exhibit in Fort Collins spotlights on the contributions of Hispanic and Mexican baseball players in Northern Colorado.
The exhibit, "From Sugar to Diamonds," runs through Sept. 28 at the Fort Collins Center for Creativity. It was created by Betty Aragon-Mitotes, founder of the nonprofit Mujeres de Colores, and highlights the role that Hispanic laborers — many of whom worked in sugar beet fields — played in building vibrant baseball leagues across the region in the early 20th century.
