Description
A group of people who say they were abused by convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein and co-conspirator Ghislaine Maxwell gathered Wednesday to share their heartbreaking stories and put more pressure on lawmakers to release every file in the Department of Justice's investigation into Epstein.
U.S. representatives from both sides of the aisle joined them. The House Oversight Committee has posted files it received from the DOJ so far, though most of these contained information that was already known.
Now, Epstein's accusers are publicly speaking out — some for the first time.
One of them, Lisa Phillips, announced survivors' plans to make their own list of people who were associated with Epstein.
"We know the names," Phillips said Wednesday. "Many of us were abused by them."
