Adams 12 Five Star Schools says it needs extra cash to step up school security, add in more career classes and pay teachers a competitive salary. But to do that, they'll have to convince voters to approve a property tax increase.
Before that can happen, the school board needs to approve plans for a mill levy override. They're asking for $39.42 million, which is money the district said is needed more than ever.
