Minutes feel like hours for a wife who waits for her husband to be released. With a click of the fence at the back of the Northwest ICE Processing Center, the legal permanent resident who was taken into custody in February walked out. He hugged his wife.
"I was keep waiting and waiting and couple of times court is canceled, because of no interpreter one time and one time the ICE and court said they are not ready, they didn't read my file, so they're not ready and canceled," he said through his wife, who translated Farsi into English. "It was really hard. Couple months waiting is hard."
A federal judge recently granted the man's appeal to dismiss his order of removal.
